I think my expectations of what I could or should do in a week are too high. I've been beating myself up over not getting more than a few shapes basted every week. My dear readers have been so positive and encouraging. They reminded me that any progress is good progress. I think I need to stop feeling like I'm not a good crafter if I don't get oodles done.
So this week, I am pleased to show you the 15 items I basted -- 10 diamonds and 5 hexies.
Progress may be slow, but it is steady. :)
As always, I'm linking up to Jessica's Monday Morning Star Count at Life Under Quilts.
Slow and steady is good. Progress is progress!
ReplyDeleteOh, don't beat yourself up, after all it is supposed to be fun :) and any progress is good progress. I agree with Pamela, slow and steady is good!
ReplyDeleteI am a slow worker, and I enjoy every stitch I take! Hope you do, too.
ReplyDeleteSecret: this week I wanted to just take a break from EPP all together. The repetition and monotony was getting to me and I just wanted to play with something else. So I took a break and made some cushion covers out of (gasp) cotton/poly blend. I pressed my machine's presser foot hard and fast, and got a bit of satisfaction out of that. Then I looked back at the hexies with new eyes. If you need a break, take one. Then tell us all about it :)
ReplyDeleteI think that one reason that I love EPP so much is that you can just do a few here or there, and it's all neatly contained. With machine sewing (for me anyway) its such a production to get things out and organized just to START sewing. So slow and steady and enjoy what you do and dont' worry about what you don't do.
