Another WIPocalypse report, and I still have so much stitching left to do before the world ends! Perhaps I should stop buying stash ...
Anywho, I have made a small amount of progress on another UCJC project - Cirque des Carreaux by Ink Circles. The last time I worked on it I didn't really enjoy it that much, the 1 over 1 on hand-dyed fabric was giving me problems. But this time it's been delightful! Guess you just have to be in the right frame of mind for certain projects.
Halfway done page 1 now. I think I'm going to stick with this piece a little longer, see if I can get a page finish soon (maybe the end of Oct?). If I do, it'll be another finish in the UCJC challenge since this is a multi-page chart. Wouldn't that be nice?
I joined in HAED Appreciation Week a few weeks ago. Here is what I added to my growing stash:
Cushion Blue by Cari Buziak
High Tea by Gordon Fitchett
Peacock's Lagoon by Ciro Marchetti
I am DYING to start Peacock's Lagoon -- the colours are so rich and vibrant -- but I am being very good and resisting temptation (for now). I've also bought a few new charts from my local LNS which I'd like to start, and again I am trying to resist. I have a serious case of startitis ...

CaFS Page Finish
I've been working on Drama Queen quite a bit lately, but because it is such a complicated, confetti heavy piece (even though parking helps tremendously) I needed something simple to work on that wasn't so taxing. So I decided Catch a Falling Star was the perfect simple project.
Lo and behold, a page finish!!
This is my first big project using tent stitch, and while the speed is really nice, I'm not in love with the coverage. This project is stitched 2 over 1 tent on 25 count light blue lugana. Considering how much 939 (dk navy blue) there is, doing full crosses might have driven me insane. :)
This is one of my UCJC projects, and since it's a huge HAED, a page finish counts as a finish in the challenge. Yay! I haven't had a UCJC finish since June. I believe this is UCJC finish number 13.

On time TUSAL and a late Finish
It's time for the September TUSAL update already!! Where on earth did the month go? Lots of new threads this month. The jar is getting positively full!
Most of the browns, greens, rusts, and blues (plus the dreaded Kreinik) from Music Montage are hidden now, but you can defintely see the deep aqua and teals and the vibrant reds of Drama Queen.
I finished Music Montage at the very beginning of the month, but somehow I tucked it away without taking a photo. I'm taking it in to the framer's later this week, so I figured I'd best take a photo before it's gone.
I love how the Kreinik makes the letters pop!
It was a super easy and fast stitch even with the Kreinik. I think it turned out fabulously! Now to see how it looks framed. I almost can't wait for Christmas so I can give it away! (Okay, I can wait for Christmas, who am I kidding? I don't have time to deal with Christmas yet!)

Progress and Chaos
PROGRESS!!! Parking is working really well for me on Drama Queen. I can't seem to put this piece down, and I truly haven't been this excited about this project since I started it 16 months ago.
A few columns done (well, the blue part at least). Figured I would finish the top blue bits before starting on the red section.
Deceptive confetti-heavy bits.
And the chaos ... tons of colours and shading along the edges of the poppies, which means a chaotic mess of threads and needles. Thank goodness it isn't as difficult to stitch while parking as it looks.
I popped by my LNS today (I just HAPPENED to be in the area) and bought a few silken goodies for my giveaway. You can still enter on this post until Sept 22nd.
Somehow I managed to buy almost as many goodies for me while I was at it. LOL. What can I say? I love my HDF silks and I hate the thought that they are being discontinued. Gotta stock up while I can. :) The three on the left are for me, but the 4 lovelies on the right are for the giveaway.

100!! Holy cow! Time for a Giveaway!
I can't believe it!! I finally hit the 100 follower mark -- woohoo! Thank you everyone for joining me on my stitching and crafting adventures and providing advice and support along the way. It's very much appreciated.
And what better way to show my appreciation of you all then to host my first ever giveaway!!
I haven't quite decided on the prize (hitting 100 was a huge surprise!) but I can guarantee it'll be full of stitchy goodness -- including favourites of mine like hand-dyed fabric, silks, and pretty patterns! This gives me an excuse to go shopping at my LNS! Yay!
So -- details details:
You must comment on this post no later than midnight EDT on Saturday, September 22, 2012 and I'll announce the winner on the Monday. I don't require you to announce or advertise my giveaway on your blogs, but I won't protest if you do. :)
I'm so excited! I can't wait to start shopping and wrapping up a suitable gift. Such fun!
Thanks to all for following and I hope you enjoy my rambling and crafting!
Best,
Adrienne

Blue Moon WIPocalypse Update
I know ... I'm a day late. But that's really no surprise, is it?
I'm kind of cheating for this WIPocalypse update. I have an update on Music Montage which I have been working on in the last few weeks. I also have updates on two other projects that I worked on (several) months ago, but never got around to photographing and posting. We're just going to pretend that I did a LOT of stitching this month.
Music Montage:
Stained Glass Pansy:
Cirque des Carreaux:
I wish I had more time to stitch. I want to work on ALL of my projects.
