MMSC - Week 16

I think my expectations of what I could or should do in a week are too high. I've been beating myself up over not getting more than a few shapes basted every week. My dear readers have been so positive and encouraging. They reminded me that any progress is good progress. I think I need to stop feeling like I'm not a good crafter if I don't get oodles done.

So this week, I am pleased to show you the 15 items I basted -- 10 diamonds and 5 hexies.

Progress may be slow, but it is steady. :)

As always, I'm linking up to Jessica's Monday Morning Star Count at Life Under Quilts.

  4. Secret: this week I wanted to just take a break from EPP all together. The repetition and monotony was getting to me and I just wanted to play with something else. So I took a break and made some cushion covers out of (gasp) cotton/poly blend. I pressed my machine's presser foot hard and fast, and got a bit of satisfaction out of that. Then I looked back at the hexies with new eyes. If you need a break, take one. Then tell us all about it :)

  5. I think that one reason that I love EPP so much is that you can just do a few here or there, and it's all neatly contained. With machine sewing (for me anyway) its such a production to get things out and organized just to START sewing. So slow and steady and enjoy what you do and dont' worry about what you don't do.
